March 9th is a big day for the Italian-American rapper known as Cold Sholda! He has continued to maintain his relevancy through his consistent releases and the next one up is “Bensonhurst”! March 9th is a sentimental day for many as it is a remembrance of Biggie but the sentimental date is also the day Cold Sholda’s nonno passed away.
Growing up in NYC, the talented rapper grew up with a tough exterior and chip on his shoulder. He recalls where he got the name, “I took the same approach with music as I did in my neighborhood….tough! One day, a childhood friend of mine used a statement in his verse mentioning that I greet people with a cold shoulder and the rest is history!”
Since 2014, Cold Sholda has been blessing the airwaves with his music. He has released projects such as, “Fire Starta,” “Well Connected,” “Hungry,” “Mutant,” and most recently, “Ceasar” which was produced by C-Lance. Due to his impeccable music and networking abilities, Cold Sholda has collaborated with many other artists including, Nems, Dv Alias Khrist, C Rayz Walz, and el Gant, to name a few.
When asked what his message to other independent artists are, Cold Sholda stated, “Follow your heart but not blindly. Be smart enough to know when to listen to others.” With his long list of accolades during his music career, it is apparent that he has followed these words closely.
